Rescuer's Day in Belarus is a professional holiday of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, which is celebrated annually on January 19. It was established in 1998 and symbolizes the recognition of the important and selfless work of rescuers who face dangerous situations every day, protecting people's lives, their property and nature.

Rescuer's Day was established by the decree of the President of Belarus in 1998. The date of the holiday was not chosen by chance - it coincides with the Orthodox holiday of the Epiphany of the Lord, which emphasizes the important role of rescuers not only in secular life, but also in spiritual life.
